Habitat for Humanity asks for on-line support to win local build

Bullet News GODERICH – Goderich is currently leading the way in on-line votes as the next site for a Habitat for Humanity build by The Brick.

More than 17.5 per cent of the community has cast a vote for the town, ranking it in top place, with Owen Sound following at 14.64 per cent in the Build It With the Brick competition.

Charlottetown trails at a distant 2.35 per cent, with a total 57 communities across the country in competition.

Voting closes Dec. 15. To cast your vote, visit The Brick’s online site.

The Brick built its first Habitat home in Stratford in 2012.

Habitat for Humanity Huron County is a non-profit, non-government, incorporated charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of economically disadvantaged persons through home ownership with the belief that decent, affordable housing is a basic human need. It has built eight homes in Huron County since 2005, and is preparing for its second build in Goderich in 2013.

    Thanks for your posting Heather.
    A win for Goderich would be a big boost in Habitat’s fund raising to build the Habitat Home in Goderich in 2013.
    Also Thanks to the Brick for this opportunity.
