HURON COUNTY – Huron OPP officers are investigating a string of thefts from vehicles over the past couple nights.
A Dodge Ram pickup parked on Picton Street East in Goderich was entered during the early morning hours of March 11, 2013. A green gym bag containing purple running shoes and some vehicle documents were stolen.
A Toyota Echo parked on Algonquin Drive in South Huron was entered during the early morning hours of March 12, 2013. A black TomTom GPS system was stolen.
A Dodge Caravan parked on York Crescent in Hensall was entered during the early morning hours on March 12, 2013. A Magellan GPS system, black MP3 player and a Washington Capitals necklace were stolen.
Police are reminding people to lock their vehicle doors.

ATV DRIVER FACING DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION CHARGE
CENTRAL HURON - On March 8, 2013 at approximately 5 p.m., a Huron County OPP officer stopped a Yamaha All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that was travelling westbound on King Street in Hensall. The officer found the male driver’s licence was suspended.
As a result, a 56-year-old man from Bluewater has been charged with driving while suspended. He has a court date scheduled for Provincial Offences Court – Goderich on May 7, 2013.
DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION CHARGES
SOUTH HURON - On Monday, March 11, 2013 at 8:40 p.m. a Huron OPP officer stopped a black Ford pickup truck on London Road for failing to have a working licence plate lamp. Upon speaking with the driver the officer determined the driver held a suspended driver’s licence.
As a result, a 48-year-old man from South Huron was charged with two counts of driving while suspended. He has a court date scheduled for Provincial Offences Court - Goderich on May 7, 2013.
His motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
