HURON COUNTY – Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for the third day in a row in Huron County, with snow squalls with near zero visibility in blowing snow and bursts of heavy snow today.
Snow squalls have developed in the strong and gusty northwesterly flow off of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Radar indicates multiple snow squall bands across the regions. Snowfall amounts will be highly variable, however could approach 15 cm today in areas where the snow squalls are persistent.
Motorists should note that driving conditions will be hazardous due to very poor and fluctuating visibilities caused by heavy snow and blowing snow, along with rapid snow accumulation on untreated roads.
