HURON COUNTY – The United Way of Perth-Huron is hitting the road this week, in a campaign to raise $65,000 and cap its fund-raising goal for the year.
Its Care-A-Van of Hope will visit nine communities in Perth and Huron counties to share this year’s stories of change and accept donations in the hope of attaining its goal of $1,082,012.
“We needed to increase the campaign goal this year to address the increased needs of the people. Some of our clients continue to struggle with after-effects of the tornado, others face employment issues,“ said Ryan Erb, who is the executive director. “We support agencies that give people the tools they need to overcome these struggles. We are asking people, more than ever, to dig a little deeper and give hope to their neighbours, their friends, their families by supporting United Way of Perth-Huron. “
Donors are encouraged to give $11 – or multiples of 11 – in the eleventh hour of the campaign.
