Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement calling for strong gusty winds today in parts of Ontario, including Huron County.
The statement is issued for:
- Simcoe – Delhi – Norfolk
- Dunnville – Caledonia – Haldimand
- Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
- Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
- Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County
- Saugeen Shores – Kincardine – Southern Bruce County
- Bruce Peninsula – Sauble Beach – Tobermory
- Belleville – Quinte – Northumberland
- Kingston – Prince Edward
- Port Carling – Port Severn
- Town of Parry Sound – Rosseau – Killbear Park
- Bayfield Inlet – Dunchurch.
Strong gusty winds today.
Strong westerly winds are expected to develop over Southern Ontario today. Wind gusts to 80 km/h will be possible along the eastern shores of the Great Lakes. Winds are forecast to diminish tonight.

Tonight… Partly cloudy. 40 per cent chance of flurries this evening. Wind west 40 km/h gusting to 60 except gusting to 80 along the lakeshore early this evening. Wind becoming light after midnight. Low minus 6.
