BREAK AND ENTER – LITTLE LAKES ROAD
ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH – Huron OPP officers are investigating a break, enter and theft to a seasonal residence located on Little Lakes Road. This crime took place sometime between 4 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2012 and 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2012. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at nearly $5,000. Those responsible forced entry into the vacant property through the front door. Some of the stolen items include:
- Marantz stereo receiver
- B & W speakers with distinctive yellow Kevlar speaker cones
- Stihl chainsaw, Stihl leaf blower, and Stihl weed eaters
- Numerous fly fishing rods, reels and flies
- Apple TV electronic device
- Vintage bottles of red wine

DRIVER SERVED WITH 3 -DAY SUSPENSION
CENTRAL HURON – At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2012, a Huron OPP officer observed a Chevrolet Cavalier travelling on Dunlop Street with only one headlight. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the male driver. Officers determined the driver had consumed some alcohol and a roadside test was completed. The test resulted in a warn range reading. A 59-year-old male driver from Central Huron has lost his driving privileges for three days.
CRANBROOK ROAD BREAK AND ENTER
MORRIS-TURNBERRY – Huron OPP is investigating a break and enter to a residence located on Cranbrook Road. Those responsible entered the unoccupied home sometime between 7 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2012. Once inside they stole approximately $3,000 in property. Some of the stolen items are listed below:
- Grey Toshiba laptop
- Black 200 piece Stanley ratchet set
- Black Mastercraft Maxim mitre saw
- Pieces of jewellery including a gold hockey ring, promise ring, and necklaces

TOOLS STOLEN FROM WORK TRAILER
GODERICH – Huron OPP officers are investigating the theft of several power tools stolen from a work trailer parked at a jobsite on Patrick Street. The thief cut the lock off the trailer and removed numerous power tools from the trailer. This theft occurred sometime around Oct. 22, 2012. Some of the stolen items are listed below:
- (2) Paslode air nailers
- Bostitch Roofing Gun
- “Quiet Drive” Dewalt drill
- Dewalt sawsall
- Hitachi hammer drill
The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $2,300.

COPPER WIRE STOLEN
ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH – Huron OPP is investigating the theft of two 500-foot strands of copper wire stolen from a gravel pit located on Halls Hill Line. The wire weighs several hundred pounds and is valued at an estimated $4,000. This theft took place sometime between Oct. 19, 2012 and Oct. 22, 2012. Also stolen was a black 24-volt CarQuest battery pack valued at $500.
