Huron County OPP report

HURON EAST - Officers from the Huron County OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to an incident that occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. yesterday.

The OPP have launched an investigation into an incident where an unidentified male entered an unlocked residence located on Cranbrook Line near McNabb Line.  Two young girls were inside, the girls spotted the male and told him to leave and he fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a young male in his teens, Caucasian, 5’6” to 5’8”, short brown hair, wearing a red t-shirt with black lettering, beige “Tuff Duck” style pants that had paint splatter on them and beige work boots.

STORAGE SHELTER STOLEN

ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH – Huron OPP officers are investigating the theft of a 10’ x 17’ portable storage shed stolen from a Blyth Road property.  The shed had been chained up at the end of the laneway as the owner was trying to sell it.  The theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2012 and 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, 2012.  The $400 shed is a canopy shelter made by Shelter Logic.  The shed was still in the original cardboard box.

MALE FACING CHARGE OF OVER 80

HURON EAST - On Sept. 28, 2012 just after 10:30 p.m., Huron County OPP officers observed a red Dodge pickup turn just before entering a RIDE checkpoint set up on Front Road and Hensall Road.  Officers followed and stopped the vehicle.

Upon speaking with the male driver, the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.

A 25-year-old man James from West Perth has been charged with driving a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on Nov. 18, 2012.  He received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension.
