HYDRAULIC DUMP TRAILER STOLEN

GODERICH  – Huron OPP officers are investigating the theft of hydraulic dump trailer stolen from a Parsons Court business.

The trailer was stolen at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 5, 2012.  The trailer is described as a 2007 black, Weberlane, double axle, hydraulic dump trailer.  The trailer is valued at an estimated $6,000.

Two suspects were observed on the property at the time of the theft.  They are described as:  male, 5’7” – 5’9”, slim build, dark hair with a receding hairline, wearing baggy style clothing.  He is believed to be in his mid to late 20s.   The second suspect is a female, with blonde hair worn up in a bun.  She is also believed to be in her mid to late 20s.

The suspects pulled the trailer away with a newer model, light coloured, GMC extended cab pickup truck.

PONTIAC GRAND PRIX STOLEN

CENTRAL HURON – Huron OPP officers are investigating the theft of a red 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix valued at $2,500.  The car was stolen from the laneway of a Townsend Street residence in Clinton.  The theft took place sometime between 9 p.m. on Aug. 6, 2012 and 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2012.  The car has not been recovered.

OUTBOARD MOTOR STOLEN

GODERICH – Huron OPP officers are investigating the theft of an outboard motor stolen from an Elgin Avenue West property. The motor and the wooden storage cart were stolen sometime between 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 6, 2012.  The stolen motor is a white, gas powered, 9.9 horsepower Mariner Marathon, valued at approximately $1,500.

MALE CHARGED WITH REFUSAL

ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH – On Aug. 5, 2012 at approximately 12:30 a.m. Huron County OPP officers stopped a Pontiac Grand-Am that was speeding on Benmiller Line.  Upon speaking with the male driver officers noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.  The driver refused to provide a sample of his breath into the roadside approved screening device.

A 29-year-old man from Central Huron has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample, driving a motor vehicle with open alcohol, no current validation on plate and speeding. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on Sept. 17, 2012.  He received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension.

MALE CHARGED WITH OVER 80 AND IMPAIRED

HURON EAST – On Aug. 5, 2012 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer stopped a green Ford Taurus that was observed driving in Seaforth at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Main Street North and Goderich Street East.

Upon speaking with the male driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.  A 57-year-old man from Huron East has been charged with impaired driving and driving a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on Oct. 1, 2012.  He received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension.
