Man dies in riding lawn mower incident

HURON EAST– Huron County OPP is investigating after a man was found dead underneath an overturned riding lawn mover in Huron East yesterday.

Police have not released the name of the 44-year-year-old man from the Municipality of West Perth.

Just after 8:30 p.m. last night, OPP officers, Huron County paramedics and members from the Grey Township Fire Department responded to a Browntown Road property, according to a press release.

A man was found unresponsive in a grassy ditch underneath the lawn mower.   He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team attended to assist with the investigation.  At this point, the cause of death has not been determined however foul play is not suspected.
