Poll: What’s your take on commercial development in the Goderich beach area?

People say that places like Grand Bend and Bayfield are magnets for tourist traffic because of the retail offerings and summer activities of those communities.

They take the position that Goderich has done little to attract traffic to the town and that the beach area (St. Christopher’s Beach and The Cove) should be developed to include retail shops, hotels and restaurants as well as activities such as water trampolines, kayak rentals, beach volleyball and the like.

Others argue that the beach is an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty, used by families as a park area.  They believe that the serenity and non commercial beauty should be protected at all costs.

The Ross Firm has undertaken a poll regarding this issue seeking input in the form of votes and comments from the public at large and those affected.  Facebook users can visit the poll at http://www.facebook.com/questions/361285573911031/
