The Goderich Lions Club presents The Taste of Goderich on Feb.23. Door open at 5:30 p.m., tasting starts at 6:30 p.m. Silent auction plus live auction with auctioneer and MP Ben Lobb. Special guest is John Ellison, former lead singer of the Soul Brothers Six, who wrote the song Some Kind of Wonderful, which became a No. 1 when Grand Funk Railroad recorded it. Enjoy the tastings of Benmiller Inn, Pat & Kevin's on the Square, West Street Willy's, Boston Pizza and The Park House. Great Food, fun and Philly Funk! Tickets, $25, are available from any Lions Club member or at the door.
