Lakeshore United Church presents a special fundraising concert featuring the world famous music of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Jeanne Lamon, Music Director and the insightful narrative by Canadian actor R.H. Thomson. Tafelmusik explores the music of the King’s Theatre Haymarket under the guidance of retired oboist, Mr. Richard Neale. Neale played for them all – Handel, Galliard, Sammartini, Bononcini and Pepusch. Relive the glory of baroque London through his musical triumphs, the perils and joys of playing the oboe, and the genius of Handel. Music as it was never heard before, from behind the music stand of a forgotten 18th-century oboist, as imagined by R.H. Thomson.
