Until the government changes the format of the school years being from September to June, I trust parents to make the best call for their children.
It would be interesting to see if the practice of “redshirting” happens in a seamless system, or where year round schooling is available.
Actually, as Kindergarten is still optional to parents in Ontario, technically they don’t have to start their children until first grade. Some parents do this. Their choice.
