Council selects company to create vision for downtown core

HEATHER BOA Bullet News GODERICH –The Planning Partnership of Toronto will develop a downtown core master plan and landscape design for Court House Park at a cost of $100,000.

They were selected from eight bids submitted proposals to the town, with bids ranging from $46,804.60 to $118,378.80.

Deputy Mayor John Grace said although The Planning Partnership submitted the third-highest bid, it was chosen based on its abilities.

“We wanted the company that would best fit our community, that we had absolute confidence would get it right and on time. It wasn’t defined by price. It was defined by quality,” he said.

A steering committee will guide the project over the next year.
