Horse show attracts competitors to REACH

Local photographer and horse rider Sarah Currah snapped a few pictures that captured the attention of organizers at a horse show earlier this year. Since then, she’s worked to launch a career in photography, specializing in equine photos. These are some photos from her studio, Storeybrook Photography.

CLINTON – Horse people from across mid-western Ontario gathered for for the first show of skills to kick off the summer season at the Regional Equine and Agricultural Centre of Huron earlier this month.

Almost 100 horses performed on June 9 and 92 performed on June 10 in the show presented by the Mid-Western Ontario Horseman’s Society. Riders came from as far as Ridgetown, Sarnia and Moncton as well as local riders to compete is such events as polebending, barrel racing, showmanship, flag race, English and Western pleasure.

The Adult showmanship class both days had the greatest number of supporters for some time.

The organizers thank the sponsors for supporting the show and look forward to coming back to Clinton next year.
